My co-worker at the time had these nails. I do nail art on my natural nails, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a quality nail job when I see one. Peep those inlaid crushed shells though!

Saturday Swatch: Revlon Facets of Fuchsia
HNG. That’s pretty much all I have to say about this color. I love it, I’m in love, I have eyes for no other (lol, okay maybe not that far, but I really do love it). I mean LOOK at it. The depth, the pop of purple, it’s just too good. This color was totally worth the full price I paid for. Oh yeah, did I mention it’s a Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance dupe? Cause it is.
These pictures are pretty old, but from what I remember it is a sheer black/grey jelly, so you’ll definitely want to layer it over a black creme or more opaque black jelly (here I have 2 coats layered over O.P.I Onix). If you don’t mind that, the application is just great. Make sure to topcoat it as well, to get the most glossiest smooth finish, I recommend two coats, or something thick like Gelous or Seche Vite.
With the right color combos, shatter can still be hot. ;)
Long square; The Lion King scenes on rings and thumb, soft orange base.
Here are some extras. This movie will always be dear to my heart, so I hope you all like these as much as I did.

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba!
The Lion King is my absolute favorite movie of all time. I painted these in December for the re-release of The Lion King in theaters. The scenes I chose to do were Simba’s presentation, the opening sunrise, and passing of the log and time by Pumba, Timon, and Simba. Although these nails were challenging, they were really fun to do because I have so much love for this amazing movie. <3

The is only one hour left in this Saturday, but it’s been a while since I have done a Saturday Swatch, and I thought I could fit one in.
Today’s swatch does feature a teensy bit of nail art, haha, but eight out of my ten fingers were sporting Revlon’s Naughty, so we’ll just call it a swatch. ;)
Naughty is a beautiful purpley-brown mushroom color with a vibrant violet shimmer. Naughty is a re-release of Revlon’s Perplex, which is the dupe of the highly coveted Chanel Paradoxal.

Here is what Naughty’s base color looks like when it’s not giving off the violet shimmer.

In total: The formula on this polish is great. It is super pigmented and applies gorgeously, giving full coverage in two easy coats. As for wear, I only wore this manicure for about two days before I took it off myself, so I am unaware on how it performs in this area. Although, I’ve seen other reviews, and have yet to read a negative comment regarding wear. As for the color? L-o-v-e. I have been coveting Revlon’s Perplex for the longest time, and am extremely happy with Revlon’s decision to re-release it. This is now definitely my favorite shroomy color in my collection. One complaint that people may have though, is that the violet shimmer is more pronounced in the bottle than when painted on the nail. Personally, I actually like that it is more subtle, as it makes the polish have that *special* effect, haha, but that’s just my opinion!
Thanks for reading!
Medium/short squoval; Magenta and gun metal halfmoons with silver glitter outline.
I did these so long ago, my second documented attempt at nail art! :’)
I really need to get back into the half moon design. It’s effortlessly classy.
Short square; hot pink.
Materials: Sinful Colors (Hot Pink).
Do any of you ever experience camera flashes not being able to capture neon colors? It blanks them out totally.
I think it’s kind of cool, haha.
